"Alias" Actor Guest Stars on NBC's "Chuck"
By Michael Aaron Gallagher

Episode: "Chuck Verses the Sensei"

So what does a TV Critic talk about around the Thanksgiving dinner table? Why, television, of course. And the show that received the most mentions from the relatives this year was NBC's "Chuck," the lighthearted dramedy about an awkward computer geek who unwittingly falls into a complicated world of espionage and adventure, while simultaneously leading a "normal" life in front of his friends and family.

But protecting government secrets is only part of this show's charming plotline. The fact is, "Chuck" isn't just about Chuck. It's also about his friendships, his romances, his coworkers at the local Buy More electronics store, and how the top secret missions he finds himself on help him to become a better man.

Overall, the cast of "Chuck" is terrific, with several actors becoming fan favorites, including Joshua Gomez who plays best friend Morgan Grimes and Yvonne Strahovski (one of the "5 Australian Actresses You Should Know") in the role of agent Sarah Walker.

In this week's episode, "Alias" actor Carl Lumbly (who played Marcus Dixon on the ABC show) guest starred as John Casey's Sensei, turned rogue agent. And if his cameo did one thing, it was to remind audiences of what an outstanding show "Alias" used to be. Yet, without the incomparable Jennifer Garner on television, one thing is for sure - "Sarah Walker" is the new "Sydney Bristow."

If you haven't seen "Chuck," you don't know what you're missing. "Chuck" Airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
